SESSION 98: 4TH NIGHT, 7/30/05
I awoke from a wonderful, 3-star dream, Parachute. And it’s long been established that any dream we have during the course of our sessions is important, but this one particularly seemed so rich, so symbolic & instructive, even transparent. I was thrilled by it and began my day in a great mood.
[A--] & I repeated the previous day’s agenda. This time our walk [censored locating information] directed us to the spot where [A--] discovered Power Tree #2 (of his 8), an old sycamore, a waning “ghost tree”.
Our tarot card: the Universe, a.k.a. the World: tasks completed/tasks to come.

Of course I immediately thought of my dream, Parachute, which we’d discussed already. In the dream the two parachutists linked – as Y’s – at their stems (arms & torsos), their legs splayed outward as the bifurcation. This is rather the opposite of [A--]’s insight & of the image [Guide 2] gave us two nights earlier (05:96:8), where Cup members ([Scribe] & [Albion]) stand with arms upraised like a Y, while Sword members (A) descend inverted. We decided to meditate on both images. [A--] and [Scribe] took the latter, while I stuck with my dream.

Other than [A--], Vilansit is our only diviner. Vilansit also is [A--]’s interim teacher, until he learns who in Circle Sword has that role (we hope not I).

Recall, it was many years before [Scribe] & I ever met our own overseers.
Item #2 on [A--]’s list: divination. Last year [A--] had been told that tarot was not truly his best medium for divining. What method then? After investigation, [A--] had decided that no medium was any truer than any other. In fact he believed no extrinsic method – no cards, no stars, no bones – were needed by him, for he was able to read people’s energies directly.

20. Q ([A--]): The energies I see are dots (circles) of energy, both flowing and streaming. The energies are in sheets and intersect much as threads in a loom. If I focus on an object [thus being able to move it], I see the “dots” form a circle of bright energy. I hypothesize that I can connect further with the objects. Is this energy in the air to work with or otherwise?

There’s a lot here & much veiled, as [Scribe] & I aren’t yet ready. Once again Vilansit’s Story (cf. 96:37:19) is not just a touchstone, but is central. Thrown in here rather casually, the “Fourfold Teaching” is entirely without precedent, while the monsoons here cast an ominous shadow. In Vilansit’s Story they brought flooding and death (including, I have always assumed, Anand’s own death.)
